    Question

If no one you know would fit into the parts, how are you suppose to cast the parts?
(I got a feeling that i will be crucified by the experts on this one...)

The Stage or PCR or some similar publication.

The Stage is easy, just pick up a copy from your local newsagent (you may have to ask at the counter but I tend to find it is not that hard to find). I think you can find more information on their website ( http://www.thestage.co.uk )

    Hmm...

That complicates things a bit. Don't you have anything like that over there?

You could try advertising in coffee-houses (it may be a cliche but actors tend to have a lot of free time, so why not?) and see who calls. The other answer would be to advertise in a local college, student actors tend not to want as much money. In fact, think of places that you will find actors and ask around.

Failing that, try casting agencies. When you call, make sure they know that you are a film-maker rather than an actor. They may turn you down but I would put even money on most of them giving you some kind of listing.

Ask US actors, they know where their work comes from. They can probably help more than I can.

    Well,
Im from the US as well, here's a list of places to look for actors(hope it helps):

1.Colleges (Alot of college people are looking to be recognized in a quick and easy way(in their minds)

2.Liberal Arts Schools (These people will have alot of experience, the only problem is they will have had much exposure to acting and will probably be expensive)

3.Acting School (DUH, no offense, kind of an obvious one though huh?)

Advertise locally to get local actors. Sounds obvious but what I mean is you don't have to advertise in a magazine for actors, just get a cheap ad in a local paper and actors will find it.
